"Casa de la Gañanía" is an old country house
located off a country road in the town of Los Realejos which is
situated in the North of the island.
It is a particular ancestral house, of
100 years of age, which has very recently been restored, with an
inside patio and an outer garden.
Its architectural style is traditional
from the last century and typical of the country homes of the time.
The main building has two floors with a staircase that leads to a
corridor or balcony and which is the access to the first floor where
there are two double bedrooms and a fully equipped bathroom . Both
the flooring and the ceiling are made out of wood and the furniture
is old and from a collection of family heirlooms (except some
necessary, recent purchases.)
On the ground floor is the dining- room
and the sitting-room also equipped with family legacy furniture
which has been restored . The inside patio, the kitchen, a spare
room and a second bathroom comprise the ground floor.
The house occupies about 300 square
metres, (120 constructed square metres). The outside garden has 50
square metres of lawn, a stone area of about 50 square metres, and a
covered porch of 15 square metres. Outside, at the back of the house
there is a parking place suitable for two cars.
Los Realejos is a town in La Orotava
Valley that has a warm and pleasant weather throughout the year.
Although "Casa de la Gañanía" is not located in the centre of the
town , nevertheless it is quite close to facilities such as
supermarkets, restaurants, banks, chemists..It takes ten minutes by
car to Puerto de la Cruz where you can enjoy the beach, Lago
Martianez facilities, the walks along the avenues and the good
restaurants.
